On the eve of the end of the world, Ben and I got the opportunity to tuck into a delicious Mayan pop-up supper, courtesy of Theresa and Gustavo, the couple behind the great Mero Mero Mexican food stand in Temple Bar’s Saturday food market (don’t walk by without trying their chorizo tacos).
These snaps don’t even begin to do the meal justice. Featuring seven courses of Yucetan cusine, all created using pre-Hispanic ingredients where possible, it was an incredible experience. Highlights included lime-marinated halibut, cactus pad salad and an incredible chocolate and tequila mousse for dessert.
