The lovely peeps at Alpro have asked me to take part in their Almond Mornings campaign, and it couldn’t have come at a better time. I have to try a different smoothie every day this week, using their new unsweetened almond milk. I love juicing and smoothie-making, but had definitely gotten into a bit of a rut (berries-bananas-OJ anyone?), so I hope that this gets me trying new things.
The green glasses of goodness above contain kiwi, spinach and a bit of lemon juice (full recipe below) and tasted great. I was surprised to enjoy the slightly more savoury kick that the almond milk provided, and even more surprised that I barely tasted the spinach. 200ml Alpro Almond Unsweetened alternative to milk
2 small handfuls of spinach leaves (or 40g frozen spinach)
1⁄2 small banana
35g peeled kiwi
A good squeeze of lemon Pinch of salt
Add the almond milk, spinach, banana, kiwi, lemon and salt to a blender and blitz. That’s it!
