The coolest chocolate in town

Bean and Goose |
Have you come across Bean and Goose? Created by Karen and Natalie Keane, sisters and chocolate makers, it has become a new obsession. Their artisan single origin chocolate is handmade in small batches each week in their kitchen in the Wexford countryside and can now be found in the Temple Bar food market each Saturday.

Not only is the chocolate divine – the smoked Irish sea salt and cocoa nibs bar is out of this world – but their whole branding is gorgeous. A collaboration between Al Higgins, one of my favourite Irish photographers, and the insanely talented design duo Designgoat led to beautiful, tactile packaging that almost – almost – makes you not want to unwrap the bar.

I popped in at the weekend pick up a some treats (they share a stand with the wonderful Wildflour Kate), and spotted these very sweet limited edition boxes, featuring a special Valentine’s Day selection of champagne and vodka truffles and an adorable message.

I also couldn’t resist trying their spiced hot chocolate, which was just molten, gooey, gorgeousness in a cup.
