Looking back, we packed a lot in this weekend. Friday, my sister and some of my Mexican cousins came over for a taco dinner – no pressure! But Ben picked up corn tortillas and nachos (plus some Horchata too) from Picado and we’d popped a pork loin in the slow cooker at 8am that morning, so a tasty feast was had.
Saturday started off busy, finishing off a shoot first thing. We then headed to Industry for some of their awesome bircher muesli, pic above – I have become obsessed, and have been trying my own versions at home; I’m hoping to share a recipe later in the week. We then spent a little while reading (I’m hooked on The Night Watch, another Sarah Waters novel) and sipping mint tea (me) and an affogato (Ben) outside Il Valentino before meeting friends in the Temple Bar Food Market, where I got the same thing I’ve been getting for, oh, about a decade – the chicken fajita from Mero Mero.
After that, we took Ethan and Noah to see Inside Out – one of my favourite Pixar releases in a while, it’s so moving and funny and insightful, it’ll leave you all warm and fuzzy.
On the way home, we decided to check out our new local grocer, Lotts & Co – but that deserves a post all of its own, so stay tuned for that tomorrow. Have a great week!
