I really wanted to create something that drew from Dublin’s historical graphic language. I find we’re quick here to dismiss anything that feels even vaguely like the past sometimes, but working in period filmmaking has made me more aware of how modern some of those antiquities can feel.
We were sitting on the couch, Ben was about to settle into some Rocket League (great fun btw), and I was about to tackle the mammoth pile of Sunday papers when that gorgeous, golden autumn light started streaming in.
