Hideous, isn’t she? Kelly, my younger sister, is possibly the most photogenic person I know. We’re pretty different – when playing Disney dress-up, she was always someone glamorous like Jasmine, while my favourite character was the decidedly nerdier Belle – but we’re still very close and there’s little we don’t talk to each other about.

Fun without sun
The weather was pretty pants this weekend, which gave Ethan and I a chance to try the new art supplies I got him for his birthday. Most of these are from Stubby Pencil Studio, a lovely little online shop selling eco-friendly art products for kids.

Oh hai new blog design….
Hello, and welcome to my redesigned blog. Do you like the look of it? It’s all thanks to the hard work of Sandra Horan and Gav Reilly. A massive thank you to them for their talent and patience. I tweaked the main site, using Showit, so that we’d all match. The portfolio has been updated [...]

Sunshine and stripes
A few shots of Ethan from last weekend’s wander through the Iveagh Gardens. Something about his cute red, white and blue t-shirt have me the idea for some vintage Americana style processing. He’s becoming a proper little man with a proper little ‘tude to match and has no problem saying “No!” when he gets bored [...]

Pretty in purple (and pink)
What is it with flowers reminding me of exam time? As soon as I spied these tulips in my sister’s garden, Sylvia Plath’s heart-breaking poem came to mind. Granted, these aren’t red, but still. Photographing tulips is both fun and frustrating. They are just so perfect that every shot risks looking like one of those [...]

Too many to choose from
Apologies for the overload of Ethan images this week on the blog! In order to get it out of my system, I’ve made a wee slideshow of shots from our Phoenix Park trip. If you haven’t already OD-ed on toddler cuteness, feel free to indulge here.

Cupcakes, cocktails and crazy toddlers
You know you’ve had a good weekend when there’s a tupperware container of chopped carrots and cucumbers in your bag… Friday, Yvonne and I had a delightfully girly evening of home-made cocktails and home-baked cupcakes. Very Carrie Bradshaw meets Betty Draper. After a trip to see Whip It (which was just as fun and lovely [...]

Una rosa, fino y hermosa
I don’t normally banter away in Spanish on the blog, but that little phrase kept coming to me when I was shooting these flowers. I think it was one of those school crush Valentine’s phrases boys would write: “Tu eres como una rosa, fino y hermosa,” which means, you are like a rose, delicate and [...]

Ethan’s Easter
Sigh. It’s Tuesday, the long weekend is behind us and we have to cram five days work into four. Do you know what might cheer you up? These shots of Ethan and the little Easter baskets we made at the weekend for him to give to his aunts, cousins and grandmother. He also had fun [...]
